At Jays School Of Dancing, we believe dance should do far more than simply teach routines.
Our classes are designed to help children build confidence, discipline, creativity and social skills in a safe, structured and encouraging environment.
Every lesson is intentionally taught in small groups so each child receives the attention, guidance and support they need to truly progress.
Parents aren’t simply investing in dance lessons.
They’re investing in:
Confidence
Physical development
Friendships
Structure
Creativity
Happiness
Lifelong skills
And most importantly, children genuinely love coming to class.
Children gradually become more self-assured through achievement, encouragement and progression.

Our welcoming environment helps children build friendships whilst learning alongside others.

Classes are designed with clear structure and purpose to help children learn, progress and thrive.

Children stay active, motivated and excited whilst developing real dance skills.

Unlike overcrowded dance classes, our intentionally smaller groups allow every child to receive more individual attention, guidance and correction.

We’re proud to have helped so many children across Brentwood grow in confidence, skill and happiness through dance.
Here’s what local parents have to say about their experience at Jays School Of Dancing.

From first steps to beautiful progress ✨
It has been such a joy to watch this lovely dancer grow over the years.
Progress in dance is about so much more than learning steps. It is about dedication, perseverance, confidence, and the joy of growing over time.

From tiny ballet shoes and big blue bows to proudly holding her first exam certificate.

This is what dedication, hard work, and a love of dance can achieve.

My daughter Chloe takes part in both Ballet + Modern with Miss Jane and really enjoys the classes - she has now been coming to Jays for over a year and it gives her lots of confidence in her life
Both my daughters have been attending Jays School of Dancing for 3 years now and what we like mostly is that the class sizes are small + personal - this I feel is the big advantage over other dance schools - I am sure my daughters will keep this going for many more years to come
Having been to a few other Dance Schools in the area - I have to say that Miss Jane + Miss Abbie are brilliant - experienced + enthusiastic teachers who genuinely focus on the individual child and developing them - great job - keep it up
My daughter is only 6 yrs old and she has already learnt so much at Jays about movement - she has asthma and this has greatly improved with the exercise the dance brings - having started with Ballet she has just added Tap classes and is absolutely loving it
In addition to Ballet + Modern classes we love the different workshops that Jays also runs - both my daughters have been to Musical Theatre + Acro classes which they have found great fun - can't wait for my third daughter to start !
What we like best at Jays compared to other Dance Schools is that it mixes fun with excellent structure - regular structured examinations at the ISTD which keep my daughter focused and also choreographic competitions to keep a healthy competition element to the system - I can highly recommend Jays School of Dancing - just give it a try and see how your daughter likes it
Finding the right dance school is important.
That’s why we invite all new students to experience a class first-hand before committing.
